This intensive one-day study day is intended for clinic managers and registered nurses with an interest in/responsibility for IPC. It is designed as an update for those who have attended our RCN-accredited 2-day IPC link practitioner course (clinics), or have attended a LPC course elsewhere, or for those with experience and comprehensive understanding of IPC issues in diagnostic and treatment centres. The day provides opportunities for discussion, debate and appraisal of the challenges of achieving compliance with revised fundamental standards and specifically the recently updated Code of Practice for the prevention and control of infections.

Building on previous knowledge of IPC and using the individual’s own experience in managing and delivering services in a range of varied diagnostic and treatment (inc. surgery) environments this day aims to provide delegates with opportunities to learn from trainers and peers and to share and discuss the challenges they face in delivering safe care and preventing infections.

A FREE web self-audit of IPC key standards (10 in total covering environmental and clinical practice issues) will be provided to delegates enrolling on this study day saving you £40.00 plus Vat . All instructions for completion will be provided. Delegates will be expected to undertake the audit prior to attending the study day and to bring their results and action plans for discussion during the afternoon sessions.

Who is the course aimed at:
Registered nurses, senior healthcare staff responsible for managing IPC risks; the nominated IPC lead/champion for the facility.
